St Augustine of Canterbury
Catholic Primary School

As we are now in a period of lock-down, it is very important that your child is supported with some ideas and resources for home learning. Each class page has a document explaining the tasks children should complete up until the end of the Easter, plus links to high quality websites.

Teachers at St Augustine's will continue to support all children in their classes during this challenging time. We have issued all parents and carers with google classroom logins which we will be using from after the Easter break. Please see the link below, which provides further support for parents and carers on how to use google classroom.

In the meantime, your child will have a wide range of reading, maths and project work to complete, just click on the relevant class page.

In addition, the government is working with the BBC to produce more free online learning content. BBC Bitesize is a resource well-known to teachers as it has been used for many years to support learning and revision in school and at home:

Our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) curriculum is taught by teachers using the 'Jigsaw' programme. They have provided some additional resources for you to access at home. Click on the link below.

South Gloucestershire council have also establish an online portal with many links to cover the curriculum. That can be found be clicking here:

Clifton diocese have launched a fortnightly competition for all to enter, should they wish. See the link below for further details.

We have also obtained a factsheet that gives lots of practical tips for home learning, click on the final link below.
